Obituary of Colin Nixon
NIXON, Colin, (FRIC) – Peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Jean (Wardropper). Dear father of Wendy (Denis) Charlebois, Lunenburg, Janette (Ben) Koop, Williamstown, Chris (Lorraine) Nixon, Corunna, Melanie (Bob) Humphreys, Petrolia, Nigel (Heather) Nixon, Brantford and Penny Nixon (Bruce), Lacombe Ab. Brother of Raymond (Norma) Nixon, South Africa. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and 4 little angels yet to arrive. Friends will be received at Trinity Anglican Church (Murphy near Michigan) on Wednesday from 9:30-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by the Rev. Dick Hebbourn. A tree will be planted in memory of Colin Nixon in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 19th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
