HEESAKKERS - (LENY) CAROLINA (VERBAKEL) HEESAKKERS, age 82 of Sarnia passed away peacefully with her beloved husband of 55 years and best friend of 61 years Christiaan and family at her side at Bluewater Health - Mitton Site on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Dear mother of Adrian & his wife Gerrie, Henry & his wife Donna, Johan & his wife Karen and Conny Heesakkers & John Finn all of Sarnia and Chris & his wife Janine, Byron. Loving grandmother of Allan, Matthew, Krysta, Michelle, Miranda and Steven Heesakkers, Philip Young, Jason and Paul Golian and Tristan and Coltrane Heesakkers. Great-grandmother of Quinn and Aubrey Young, Havvah, Christopher and Michael Heesakkers. Sister of Jo Verbakel, Holland, Bill Verbakel & his wife Ann, Sarnia, Frank Verbakel & his wife Dory, Holland, Pieter Verbakel & his wife Jean, Holland, Mary VanderAa, Sarnia, and Mien Peters & her husband Cor, Holland. Predeceased by granddaughter Madison Heesakkers, parents Johannus & Juli Adrianna Verbakel, brother Martin Verbakel and sisters Ann VandenHurk, Elizabeth (Betsy) Deman, Marjan Martins and Henrietta Raymakers. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Friday at 11:30 a.m. and will be officiated by Allan McKeown.
