Obituary of Kathleen "Kaye" Leona Villeneuve
VILLENEUVE, Kathleen "Kaye" Leona - passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Marshall Gowland Manor after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's on Sunday, July 8, 2007. Beloved wife of Len. Loving mother of Charlene Peters (Norm), Leonore Mortimer (Lyle) and Vic (Viki). Proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Survived by 2 sisters, Maisie and Olive. Predeceased by parents Leah and Harris Veinotte, brothers Jack and Harris and great grandson Carson Mortimer. Kaye was born in Timmins, Ontario August 15, 1920 and moved to Sarnia in 1951. She was a dedicated nurse who worked for 30 years at St. Joseph's Hospital, retiring in 1982. Kaye and Len enjoyed many happy years of travelling together. Church and her family were also very important to her. She especially liked to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Tuesday from 2-4 &7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Carruthers officiating. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
