Obituary of Giuseppe "Joe" Benito Bucci

BUCCI, GIUSEPPE (JOE) BENITO, age 72 of Sarnia, died peacefully with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer at Bluewater Health - Palliative Care on Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Palmira (1993). Dear father of Sergio Bucci, Germany and Patricia Harwood & her husband Rob, Bright's Grove. Loving Nonno to Matthew and Christopher Harwood. Loving brother of Enrico & his wife Maria, Sarnia, Frank (late Maria), Argentina, Vincenzo & his wife Linda, Sarnia, Angela Gatto (late Angelo), Argentina and Maria Rosa Giachetta (late Giuseppe), Brazil. Brother-in-law of Carmen, Ada and Filomena Bucci and Nicola Petrecca (Maria). Special uncle of Pasquale Bucci (Rosanna), Dina De Luca, Vince Bucci, Tony Bucci (Pasqua), Rob Bucci (Heather), the late Fausto Bucci, Maurizio Bucci (Sandy) and Fiordisa Roberts (Don). Also surviving are several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brothers Giovanni, Tomasso and Michele. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins on Saturday, August 25 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
