Obituary of J. Herbert Martin
MARTIN, Herb - Joseph Herbert (Herb) Martin made very good use of his 82 years on the planet. He lived life with enthusiasm, humour, curiosity, integrity and a very great love for his wife Laurenna (Lorraine), his family, friends, neighbours and pretty much everyone he ever met. He was always ready to pitch in when there was a need - Cubs, Huron House Boys Home, Triple "C" Carvers and any friend or neighbour that needed help building or fixing anything. Caring for others, his wife Lorraine, his sister Mildred and until 6 weeks ago, all his special friends at Marshall Gowland Manor is what he did best and where he found his joy. We are all better people for having known him. His children, Debbie, Danny (Bonnie), Donna and David (Michelle). His Grandchildren, Justin (Cindy), Jordan, Evan, Kyle and Real. His brother Don and sister Margaret. His siblings no longer with us, Fred, Mildred, Ruth, Widdy, Joe and Ricky. His nieces and nephews, his extended family, the Clarkes, the Cossabooms, the Angelones, the McGonnagals, the Mathiesons, the Lapointes, the Levesques, Jeannie and Dennis Marshall and Dave and Liz Moore and family. Special thanks to all his friends and neighbours, the ladies at RBC BANK, Dave Woods, Mathew Thomas, Peter Westfall, Dr. Greensmith, the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor, the staff at Bluewater Health, Selina and every waitress he ever met. "You're a good cooker." What will we have left? Memories of skating parties, beach parties, road trips, Disney movies, Star Wars and popcorn. Cremation has taken place.
