Obituary of Leslie Earl Andrew
ANDREW, Leslie Earl – At Vision Nursing Home on Friday, May 2, 2014, Leslie passed away at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Young). Predeceased by brothers William and Arthur Andrew and sisters Nellie Hubbard, Lillie Eccelstone, Ethel Green, Marguerite Andrew, Mabel McKevit and Janet Tye. Surviving are several nieces & nephews including Janet Eves, Brigden, Shirley Morden, Sarnia, Donald Young, Brigden, Margaret McPherson, Mooretown and Trudy Young, Sarnia. Leslie was the 9th child of pioneers Isaac & Margaret (Johnston) Andrew who settled in Moore Township in the late 1800's. He was a long time employee and retiree of Polymer Corp. Leslie enjoyed music, golfing and coaching baseball in Brigden. He was a resident of Thompson Gardens in Corunna for 22 years and was a member of Leopold Lodge #397, Brigden. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Leopold Lodge #397 will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home at 6:45 p.m. Monday. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Margaret Bell officiating. Interment Moore Union Cemetery.
