Obituary of Jan Zevenbergen

ZEVENBERGEN, JAN – With his family by his side at Afton Park Place Nursing Home, Sarnia on January 4, 2014, Jan Zevenbergen died at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Lillian. Loving father of Cheryl Smith & her husband Russell, Sarnia and Brian Dunseath, Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of Michelle Wright & her husband Corey and Nicole Eede & her husband Craig, Sarnia. Cherished great grandfather of Cailyn & Gavin Wright and Colten Eede, Sarnia. Also survived by his extended families in Canada, Holland and Northern Ireland. Predeceased by his parents Dirk & Cornelia Zevenbergen. Jan was born in Rotterdam in 1932 and came to Canada in 1956. Owner of Zevenbergen Electric, Jan was a longtime respected electrical contractor. He was a past member of the Navy Club and Bluewater Optimist Club. The family would like to thank the staff at Afton Park Place and Dr. Wm O'Mahony for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and private arrangements have been made.
