Obituary of Evelyn Ruth Hoover

 HOOVER, EVELYN "RUTH" (PARSONS) – Suddenly at home in Sarnia on Monday, October 7th, 2013, Evelyn Ruth Hoover died at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Wayne Hoover. Loving mother of Murray & his wife Shirley, Kingston, Diane Welsh & her husband Michael, Port Huron, Maureen Kaczkowski & her husband Steve, Winfield, B.C. , Carolyn Walsh & her loving partner Cam Kohut, Bright's Grove and James, Sarnia. Proud grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 7. Sister-in-law of Lucille Hoover, Toronto. Also missed by her faithful companion , her cat Benjamin. Predeceased by her parents Hazel & Arthur Parsons, son David, daughter-in-law Janice Hoover and brothers-in-law Neale & Rhys Hoover. As a volunteer for over 30 years at Sarnia General Hospital, Gift Shop, Ruth was known for her beautiful knited clothing for babies. She was a very active member of Christ Lutheran Church, and sang in the choir. Ruth's passion in life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth was a very gentle and caring soul who will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who's lives she touched. Visitation will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church, 6482 Telfer Rd, Bright's Grove, 10am – 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11th followed by a service at 12 p.m. with Pastor Paul Schallhorn officiating. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 N.
