Obituary of Frederick John Huntley
HUNTLEY, FREDERICK JOHN "JACK" - Peacefully with his family by his side at Haliburton Hospital on Monday afternoon, July 29, 2013 in his 94th year (formerly of Sarnia). Beloved husband of Shirley Huntley (nee Pears). Loving father of Diane (Tom Wilkinson) of Haliburton. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jason, Sean, Ryan Lindsay and TJ. Also by great grandchildren Max, Jacob, Payton, Emma, Codie and Carter. Predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Baker. Fondly remembered by his nephews Allan, Gary, Bruce and David. and his extended family. Jack was an accountant with Imperial Oil for over 43 years and served with the RCAF as a Sergeant in WWII. Jack was a sailor and enjoyed sailing at the Sarnia Yacht Club with his many friends. He enjoyed curling and his family. He shared his love of sailing with his grandchildren and was the Commodore at the Sarnia Yacht Club. A celebration of Jack's life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at the Sarnia Yacht Club officiated by Angela MacDonald. A memorial reception will be held 2-5 p.m at the Yacht Club following the service.
