Obituary of James Maczko

MACZKO, James – At Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Betty (2012). Dear father of Ken (Dolores), Sarnia, Jamie (Kathy), Sarnia and the late Betty Ann Turner (Ray Piche), Sarnia (late Dr. John Turner). Loving grandfather of Justin (Kirsten), Daniel (Aimee) and Joseph (Kristen) Turner, Sarah (Chris) Maczko, James (Desiree) and David Maczko. Great-grandfather of Somer, Eva, Edie, Carter, Ava, Paige and Sadie. Brother of Frank (Di) Maczko, Mexico, John (Margaret) Maczko, Sarnia and Margaret (late Ernie) Quinton, Orangeville. Brother-in-law of Bertha Maczko, Sarnia. Predeceased by brother Steve Maczko and sisters Helen (Dan) Kapala and Elizabeth (Jim) Guzi. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Jim was a long time member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a past president of The Sarnia Lions Club. He was the long time owner of The Sarnia Bees and the founder of Jim's Shoe Clinic. Visitation will be at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
