Obituary of Thomas Franklin Richards
RICHARDS, “Tom” Thomas Franklin – Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 16th, 2013 at the age of 74. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Louise. Much loved father of Candi, Leslie and her husband, Kris Potter. Very proud Papa of Kalia and Kye Potter. Kind brother of Janet and brother-in-law of Joyce. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Tom grew up in Devine St. United Church and for many years attended Central United Church. Since retiring in 2007, Tom enjoyed countless rounds of golf at Baldoon Golf Course, where he was a member. Prior to that, Tom had been a dedicated architect in the Sarnia area for 45 years. There will be a private family service at McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre with the Rev. Christine Jerrett officiating. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may send memorial donations to the charity of their choice. An open house to honour Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 at the Richards’ home, 4853 St. Clair Parkway, Port Lambton, from 2-4 pm.
