Obituary of Edward Merle Yurchuk

YURCHUK,  Edward Merle – St. Joseph’s Hospice, surrounded by his family on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the age of 74. Loving father of Bill & his wife Christine, Sarnia, Laurie Deven & husband Andrew, Alymer and Gayle Yurchuk-Nicholson, New Westminister, BC.  Cherished grandfather of Joshua & Nicholas Yurchuk, Eric Deven, Ryan Hanly & wife Jennifer, Corey Hanly, Emily &  Kaitlyn Fithern.  Great grandfather of Jaxon Hanly.  Dear  brother of  Sylvia Edgerton & husband Roy, Guelph and brother-in-law Art Wyatt, London.  Also survived by his wife Donna.  Predeceased by his parents  Ann & George Yurchuk, sister Rose Wyatt, brother William Yurchuk and grandson, Nelson Deven.    Ed worked many years for Northern Telecom.  He was a proud member of the “Shack” and enjoyed golfing.  He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.  Private funeral arrangements are entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may forward memorial donations to the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer at www.conquercancer.ca/goto/yurchuk.  Ed’s son Bill will be riding in remembrance of his father.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Edward Yurchuk in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
