Obituary of August Kuiack
KUIACK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of August Simon Kuiack. August was born in Wilno, Ontario on July 17, 1934 to August and Anna Kuiack and died on Friday, November 2, 2012 in Sarnia. August was the cherished husband for 46 years to Juanita (St. Amand); the devoted father of Michael (Barbie), Colleen (Kevin) Cook, Lynda (Steve) Hill and Stephen (late Shannon); doting Grandpa to Ariel Kuiack and Gibson and Kasha Cook. Survived by brothers Basil (Hildred) and Patrick, and sister Marianne (Sr.Goretti). Also loved by members of the St. Amand family, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, and family members Florian (Mary) Kuiack, Florence (Paul) Sowinski, Rolly and Janet St. Amand and Lynne Freeman. August loved his family, his home and he loved life! August was a retired Millwright from Holmes Foundry. He found much pleasure in gardening, camping, travelling and fishing. We will fondly remember his smile and sociable nature, his endearing personality and his joy in storytelling. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Muhunthan and the dedicated staff of the Intensive Care Unit. Friends will be received at the MCKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday, November 5 from 3-6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church, Sarnia on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Terry Fox Foundation.
