Obituary of Jean-Yves Drapeau

DRAPEAU, Jean-Yves  – Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Saturday, October 27, 2012, Jean-Yves died at the age of 82.  Beloved husband of Jeannine (Regimbald) Drapeau for 60 years.  Loving father Denis and his wife Claudette (Deschènes) Drapeau.  Proud grand papa of Joel, Jacelyne, and Gabrielle.  Dear brother of Gilbert Jean; and brother-in-law of Pauline Drapeau, Germain (Moira) Regimbald.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Phillip and Marie-Anna Drapeau; brothers Laureat, Robert; sisters Aurelie (Noel) Thibeault, Jeanne-D’Arc Drapeau, Rita (Adam) Proulx, Fernande St. Laurent.  Jean-Yves was a member of the Local 663 for 62 years as a pipeline welder.  Un gros merci a Dr. Dostaler and her palliative team.  Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Kathemo Mukucha at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Wednesday, October 31st at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with private family interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Bluewater Health, Palliative Care, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, ON N7T 6S3.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Jean-Yves Drapeau in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
