Obituary of Peter Nicholas Kornet
KORNET, Peter Nicholas – Suddenly, doing what he loved at the Camlachie Golf Club on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Lucy (Ladanchuk) (1992). Dear father of Ronald & his wife Mary, Sarnia, David & his wife Cheryl, Sarnia and Lynne Kornet and her husband Brian Goodall, Calgary. Loving grandfather of Jason & Tara, Chris, Michelle, Mallory, Kaylyn, Kelly and Taylor; and great-grandfather of Cody and Chasta. Father-in-law of Terry & his wife Barbara Fulton. Also survived by many neieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Nellie (Popowich), daughter Patricia Fulton, grandson Andy Kornet and brothers-in-law. Pete served in the army in WWII and retired from CN after 42 years of service. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and recently retired from moose hunting. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Monday from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Peter’s life will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Raju Allumpurath officiating. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
