Obituary of James Isaiah "Ike" McGowan

MCGOWAN, JAMES ISAIAH “IKE” – At Bluewater Health, with family by his side, Ike died peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the age of 87.  Loving husband of the late Marion McGowan (Wilson).  Loving father of Michael (Christine), Edmonton, Peter, Calgary, David (late Debbie), London, Kimberly, London, Stephen, Sarnia, Sherry McCann, Sarnia and Jim (Corey), Amherstburg.  Proud grandfather of Paul, Mark, Sean, Anne, Ruth, Adam, Tasha, Aaron, Jesse, Ashley, Jennifer, Christopher, Ryan (Laura), Alicia, Scott, Nick (Denise), Justin (Cassie), Sarah, Emily and Nolan and great-grandchildren Jake, Breeya and Brayden.  Brother of Edith Sheahan, Brockville, Elaine Furiak, Eganville and Beverly Clark, Petawawa.  Predeceased by parents Peter and Agnes McGowan and brothers John, Frank, Des, Bert and Joe and sister Theresa McGowan.  Ike was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and Royal Canadian Legion Br. 62.  Family and friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Keller at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church (Charlesworth at Lecaron Ave., Sarnia).   Interment Lakeview Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Pt.
