Obituary of "Lila" Lesja Seibutis

SEIBUTIS, Lila (Lesja/Linalila) – Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, April 29, 2011 in Sarnia.  She was born in Zaparozie, Ukraine on December 18, 1923.  Predeceased by her husband Frank (Pranas) on October 2, 1994, three children Roma, Mary and John, all in infancy, and her parents Edokyia and Peter Zolobowa.  Survived by her son Mark and his wife Joy of Sarnia and her daughter Rita and husband Paul Hemmerich of Kitchener.  Proud grandmother of Wesley, Olivia, Christopher, Natalie and Marianne.  Lila came to Canada after the Second World War and started nursing in Goderich, Ontario.  She moved to Sarnia where she married Frank and they raised their family.  She was proud to work under the sisters of St. Joseph at St. Joseph’s Hospital (Bluewater Health), retiring from her nursing career after 30 years.  Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
