Obituary of Sarah Anne Willis
WILLIS, SARAH – Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Charles. Loving mother of June Willis, Sarnia, Mabel (Mab) Acton & her husband Ray, Petrolia, David Willis & his wife Joyce, Surrey, B.C., and Gary Willis, Kitchener. Proud grandmother of Pamela Banks, Heather Fisher, Lauren Hackney, Denise Novak, Craig Stuart, Cindy Willis, Shellie Bartnick, Brent Willis, Sarah Willis, Katherine Willis and Stephanie Willis. Great-grandmother of 15 and great-great-grandmother of 4. Dear sister of Hannah Lockyer, Sarnia. Predeceased by granddaughters Julie Williamson and Sharene Williamson and by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Formerly of Point Edward, Sarah was known for her gardens on Louisa St. She was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church and she loved a game of scrabble. The family would like to thank Dr. Butler and the wonderful staff of Fiddick’s Nursing Home. Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 210 Michigan Ave., Point Edward on Saturday from 9:30 – 10-30 a.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., officiated by The Rev’d Grace Coleman Anthony. Interment Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements by McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 344-3131.
