Obituary of Karen Ann Harold

HAROLD, KAREN ANN – Peacefully surrounded by her family, after a 14 year battle with cancer, Karen Harold died at St. Joseph's Hospice, Sarnia on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at the age of 64. Loving mother of Michael "Jamey" Harold & his wife Leigh, and Robert Harold both of Thorold. Cherished grandmother of Ashley and Ryan Harold. Dear daughter of Kathleen "Kay" Kir, Leamington. Sister of Dan Kir & his wife Brenda, Kingsville and Bonnie Grant & her husband Gord, Leamington. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her father John Kir (2009). Karen was an Interior Designer since 1985. She lived life to its fullest and had no regrets. Karen's greatest passions were her family, who gave her great joy and made her very proud, her faith, she was a member of All Saints Anglican Parish for 30 years and her incredible friends. Karen was a member of the Breast Buddies since 2001 and was grateful for the friendship and support from the group. Visitation will be held 10 – 11 a.m., Friday, August 29th, 2014, at All Saints' Anglican Parish,  Sarnia where a Celebration of Karen's life will follow at 11a.m. officiated by Rev. Steve Harnadek. Cremation has taken place. Private family interment will be held at a later date in Wheatley. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a donation to St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 N. Christina St. N., Sarnia, N7T 5W3 where she spent her final days so lovingly cared for, believing that she was in "Gods waiting room" or to Sleeping Children Around the World, c/o All Saints' Anglican Parish, 248 Vidal St., N., Sarnia, N7T 5Y4.
