Obituary of Michael Sr. Hagemann
HAGEMANN, MICHAEL – Peacefully with his family at his side after a short battle with cancer at Bluewater Health – Palliative Care on Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Beloved and dedicated Husband of Mary (Lewicki). Dear loving Father of Stephanie (Scott Lee) Hagemann-Lee, Zorra, Stephen (France) Hagemann, Sarnia, Michael Hagemann Jr., Sarnia and Cynthia (Graeme) Blair, Sarnia. Loving Grandfather/Nagypapa of Victoria, Richard, Julia, Madeline and Christopher. Brother of Piri Sipos, Hungary. Predeceased by 9 siblings in Hungary. Michael retired from the Carpenter’s and Joiner’s Union Local 1256 in 1993 after 35 years service. He continued to use his talents and love of woodworking in his retirement years creating masterpieces for his family and friends and his memory will live on in the homes of his loved ones. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Sunday from 1-3 & 7-9 p.m. with Panakhyda at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Edward Yarema at 10 a.m. Monday at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1045 Rosedale Ave., Sarnia. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Michael Hagemann in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
