Obituary of Leon Stasiak
STASIAK, Leon – At Bluewater Health – Mitton Site on Monday, March 30, 2009 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Wanda (Kurp). Loving father of Bogusia McRae, Sarnia and Monica (Bob) Williams, Sarnia. Dear grandfather of Adam (Valene) McRae, Sarnia, Edmond McRae, Sarnia, Anthony McRae, London, Christopher McRae, Sarnia, Kimber & Marie Williams, Sarnia. Great-grandfather of Taylor McRae. Brother of Edward (Audrey) Stasiak, England, Lydia Rosiak, Poland, Sofia Cisek, Poland and Rene (Bernie) Kloth, London, Ont. Also survived by several nieces and nephews in Poland, England, Australia and Canada. Predeceased by sister Lucy. Leon was very proud to have served with the Polish Forces in World War II. He was a member of the Polish Combatants Association, the Polish Alliance and the Royal Canadian Legion. He retired from Holmes Foundry after 38 years of service. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m where prayers will be offered at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Z. Rodzinka 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
