Obituary of Irene Lillian Palmer

PALMER, Irene Lillian – Peacefully with her family at her side at Bluewater Health – Norman Site on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of 57 years to David. Loving mother of Susan & husband Gary McAlpine, Thedford, Mike Palmer & his wife Candice, Calgary and Chris Palmer & his wife Sue, Sarnia. Nana to Rebecca and Melissa Carr, the late Raelyn, Megan, Alyssa and Shayla Palmer and Kelly and Kevin Palmer. Dear sister of Alfred, Harry, Carol and Patricia all in London, England. Sister-in-law of Sylvia Bayes & her husband Bill, Lindsay. Also surviving are nephews Peter, Paul and John Bayes, Lindsay as well as several relatives in England. Irene was born in London, England on November 16, 1931. Eventually meeting her husband David they came to Canada and settled in Sarnia in 1957 where they started A.D. Palmer & Associates in 1969. Irene’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Dostaler and the nursing staff at Bluewater Health Norman Site 4 North Continuing Care for treating Mom with the utmost dignity and respect while she was under their care. At the family’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
