Obituary of Nicolina Iafrate

IAFRATE, Nicolina – At home on Thursday, July 17, 2014 Nicolina Iafrate died at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Alberto Iafrate (2006). Dear mother of Anna DiCarlo and Mario and his wife Maria Iafrate. Proud Nonna of Lina (Matthew) Kerwin, Cinzia (Charlie) Cameron, and Anthony (Melissa) Iafrate, Elio (Maria) Iafrate and Nicholas (Krysta) Iafrate and great-grandmother of Erica, Christopher, Michael and Kathleen Kerwin, Alexis and Sierra Iafrate. Survived by sister-in-law Domenica DiCocco in Italy and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Tomassina "Teresa" and Luigi DiCocco, Gaetana and Cesaro Iafrate, brother Domenico DiCocco and sister Rosalia (Onorio) Vennettilli, brother-in-law Guiseppe (Rosalia) Iafrate, sister-in-law Concetta (Domenico) Ferrera, sister-in-law Maria and Antonio Iafrate in Brazil. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, July 20th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 7 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Church on 11 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
