Obituary of Michael Frederick Moore

MOORE, Michael – At Bluewater Health, Norman Site, on Friday, December 4, 2009, Michael died peacefully with family by his side at the age of 67. Cherished son of Doris and Les Moore. Beloved husband and best friend of Bonnie for 44 years. Loving father of Jamie and his wife Sacha Moore and Jodie and her husband Geoff Bore. Proud grandpa of Riley, Jaxon, Oban and Mackenzie. Dear brother of Linda and her husband Bill Molitor and Dave Moore; and brother-in-law of Art and his wife Georgina Whitton and Jim Whitton. Mike worked many years as a Pharmacist at Hogan’s and the Clinic Pharmacies. He was a member of the Sarnia Riding Club and an avid sportsman who enjoyed competitive tennis, basketball, skiing and squash. Mike was an all around great person who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who loved him. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Mike’s many friends who offered their support during his lengthy illness. Thanks also to the dedicated and caring staff and volunteers of Community Care Access Centre, Red Cross Workers, Bluewater Health Complex Continuing Care, Support Therapies and Services, and the Caravan services. A special acknowledgement to Dr. Wayne Rankin and staff, Dr. John Murphy, Dr. Ted Firth, Dr. Ken Clark, Dr. Harold Gretzinger, Dr. José, Dr. Mark Guttman and Mike’s special feeding team. Murray Stephenson conducted a private family service on December 8, 2009. Arrangements were entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
