Obituary of Margaret Helen Maguire

MAGUIRE, Margaret Helen – At Bluewater Health – Norman Site on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 Margaret died at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late James (1986). Loving mother of Mary Maguire (Art Penney), Nobleton, Bob (Joan) Maguire, Sarnia, Helen Maguire, Toronto, Jean (Klaus) Schaefer, Mississauga, Martha (Joe) Simatovic, Halifax, Janet (Bill) Guloien, Nottawa, James (Sheila) Maguire, Halifax, and John (Regina) Maguire, Calgary. Proud grandmother of Rob, Erin, Shawn, Kirsten, Eric, Katherine, Carrie, Jessica, Lesley, Edward, Connor, Logan, Ian and Kathleen; and great-grandmother of Spencer, Morgan, Jacob and Cylus. Predeceased by parents Dr. Robert and Mary MacDonald, brothers Robert and James MacDonald, and sisters Flora Sirdevan, Mary MacDonald and Jean Smith. Margaret graduated from the Royal Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in 1937 and practiced Nursing at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal from 1937-1941. She also volunteered at St. Joseph’s Health Centre and was a member of the O.L.M C.W.L since 1940. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Matthew Bedard at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow with inurnment at Lucknow Cemetery.
