Obituary of Douglas John Matheson
MATHESON, Douglas John – Unexpectedly at Bluewater Health on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family. Husband of the late Vivian Matheson (1994). Dear father of Scott (Sharon) Matheson, Mark Matheson and Lori Matheson (Gary O’Neil) all of Sarnia. Loving Poppa of Cassandra Matheson (Jeff Streeter), Kendall (Steve) Lapp and Christina Matheson. Great-poppa of Vivianne Lapp. Twin brother of George (late Dorothy) Matheson, Southampton. Much loved best friend of Paula Crozier. Doug was well known in the area as an accomplished musician and real estate agent. He played his saxophone up and down the Lake Huron shores. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, 286 N. Front St. on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Harmony for Youth, 251 Campbell St., N7T 2H2 or the Sarnia & District Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St., N7T 7W8.
