Obituary of Eddy Joseph Cadieux
CADIEUX, Eddy Joseph- Surrounded by his family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Friday, November 13, 2015, Eddy Cadieux died at the age of 82. He leaves behind best friend and love of his life, for 63 years, Charlene (nee Morris). Loving father of Alan Cadieux & his wife Jan, Pt. Edward, Randy Cadieux, Camlachie, the late Michael Valentine Cadieux (1957), Vickie Taylor & her husband Brad, Bright’s Grove, Patti Mroczek, Bright’s Grove, Dan Cadieux & his wife Diane, Sarnia, David Cadieux & his wife Lee Anne, Pt. Edward. Cherished grandfather of Michael Cadieux (Marie-Claude), Renee Cadieux (Darren), Andy Cadieux (Lisa), Laura Carruthers (Rob), Kevin Cadieux (Jill), Emily Webb (Steve), Christopher Cadieux (Adrian), , Jessica Mayer (Sam), Kara Douglass (Brendan), Nicholas Mroczek (Scarlet), Natasha Kelch (Joel), Adelle Taylor (Levi), Tyler Cadieux (Tamara), Danielle McFarlane (Ryan), Nicole Cadieux (Devon), Courtney Cadieux (Tanner), Victoria Taylor (Katie), Chloe Cadieux, (Surinder). Great-grandfather of 17 with 2 more blessed events to come. Also survived by his sister Corine Belise (Dan), North Bay, and his sister-in-law, Jackie Cadieux, as well as several loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by his parents Bruno and Albina Cadieux, his brother Rene Cadieux and his sister Loretta Stewart (Jack). Eddy was a member of the Local 663 for over 40 years. He had a joie de vies for all outdoor activities, from swimming to camping and skiing to skating. He took up the sport of windsurfing at the age of 54 and was a respected surfer until he was 70. His lifelong passion was playing hockey and watching the Montreal Canadiens. He recently let us know that he would be joining Jean Belliveau as the captain of their team. Together Eddy and Charlene enjoyed Tai Chi and took up golfing. Visitation will be at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Festus Komolafe, at St. Michael’s Church, Bright's Grove on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 11a.m. Cremation to follow with burial at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N.
