My heartfelt condolences to Giuliano's family and friends.
I have some good memories of Giuliano.
The first time I met him in 1996 he took Elena and I to Fat Moes for drinks and that day I grew to like him.
Once I had an appointment to David Stoesser. After we were done with our business we went next door to see Giuliano. He made us some pasta and salad; we had good conversation and ate well. And whenever I'd drop by Giuliano's for a visit we'd usually have a drink or he'd make me something good to eat. He didn't have much but always shared generously.
A few days before Christmas one year I offered to buy him a present. He said he wanted a bottle of Absentee. It was expensive, but I bought for him anyway. When I walked out of LCBO and gave him that bottle the smile on his face was priceless. That evening Elena and I went back for a visit. Giuliano opened the bottle of Absentee and shared it with us. Before we left that night he let me go upstairs and pick to of his paintings to take home. There must have been a hundred paintings in that room to choose from; he was certainly a talented artist.
Giuliano had a good heart and I think in some way all of us that knew him are bless because he touched our lives.
May God have mercy on Giuliano's soul and grant him everlasting life in heaven.
