Bill and Family, So sorry to hear about the passing of Gerry. I use to take care of her when she was a LMV once in awhile when I was on that floor. I hadn't been on the floor for 4 years but still would see you and her and have a chat when seeing her. Gerry was a sweet lady and will be missed by so many. My love to Uncle Bill, Susan, Tony & family.
Aunt Gerry was so fortunate to have such a loving force that surrounded her during her illness with Alzheimer's. It is a disease that has touched me so very personally that I know how hard it can be on a family. It is a disease that makes you feel you have lost your loved one even prior to their departure as their shell is present, but the mind is not. I do however believe greatly through my own experience and one that I observed with Aunt Gerry on her 80th birthday is that her eyes followed everyone that day so inside her shell she truly realized how loved she was.
She is now part of the Angel community (which I am sure Aunt Maura has taken control of : ) she will look over all of us.
She now has peace and all of her dignity back as she wait's in the heaven's above.

I am so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. I used to work with her back many years ago at St. Joseph's. She such a conscientious worker and was such a welcoming sight to all the staff and visitors who came through the cafeteria. May you find comfort in your memories of her. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
