Obituary of Lidorina De Sena

De Sena, Lidorina (Iacobelli) passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, at the age of 68 years. Beloved wife of the late Terenzio De Sena (2014). Loving mother of Luisa (Mark) Buscema, Francesco De Sena and Maria (Jerry) Recchia all of Sarnia and the late Marcello De Sena (1971). Loving nonna to Karah and Jessica Buscema, Joseph, Eric and Lauren De Sena and Daniel and Julia Recchia. Predeceased by her parents Ersilio and Domenica Iacobelli. Sister of Anna Fazio (Antonio) of Sarnia, Gino Iacobelli (Maria) of Sarnia, Palmino Iacobelli (Martha) of Sarnia, and Bianca Di Filippe (Mario) of Italy. Sister of the late Amerigo Iacobelli (Gelsomina) of Sarnia, the late Rosa Morrelli (late Luigi) of France, the late Aldino (Anna) of Venezuela, and the late Orfeo Iacobelli (Julia) of Sarnia. Lidorina will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose life was guided by her deep faith. Visitation will be held Tuesday April 26, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia where Prayers will be held at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Vince Gulikers at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday April 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. At Lidorina's request, in lieu of flowers, please consider sending a pre-packed basket of non-perishable food items to the funeral home to be distributed to The Inn of the Good Shepherd following the funeral.
