Obituary of Denise Florette Walsh

WALSH, Denise, Florette (nee Deveault) - With her family by her side, after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer, Denise Walsh died at St. Joseph's Hospice on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the age of 63. Beloved wife of the late Kevin (2006). Loving mother of Keven and Chantal & her partner Jenn. Cherished nana of Hillary, Aleicia and Trista. Nini of Carson, Reegan and Faith. Dear sister-in-law of Madeleine Hayes, Rene LeClerc, Peter Walsh (Dianne), John & Paul Walsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Therese Jean & Fernand Deveault, her brother Denis, sister-in-law Bernedette LeClerc and brother-in-law Michael Walsh. Denise will be missed by her kindred spirit Margaret Potter. Denise worked for 25 years with Bluewater Duty Free where she worked with pride and was truly a member of their family. She had strong faith, believed in laughter and loved life. Her passion was her family. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to express their gratitude to Blaine McLaughlin for his compassionate and tender care over the years and the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice for making mom's final days comfortable. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Vince Gulikers at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
