Obituary of Jessie Veronica McIntyre
MCINTYRE, JESSIE "JAY" VERONICA - Peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Thursday, December 1, 2016, Jay McIntyre died one month shy of her 100th birthday. Loving daughter of the late Angus & Catherine McIntyre. Jay is predeceased by her siblings; Neil, Norman, John, James, Joseph, Hugh and Wilfred McIntyre, Mary Burchell, Catherine Munro and Gertrude Burchell. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jay's passion in life was her family. She dedicated her life to caring for her parents. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jay was a long time member of St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed spending time travelling with family, bingo, gardening and whatever came along to give her joy. Her compassion and love of life will always be remembered by all those who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, where prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Steve Marsh at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to The Alzheimer's Society of Sarnia-Lambton, 420 East St., N., Sarnia, N7T 6Y5.
