HEWITT, Agnes Rosalie - With family by her side, Agnes Hewitt died peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late John Samuel Hewitt. Loving mother of Dick and his wife Joyce, Ken and his wife Sandra, Ted and his wife Vickie, Jan Clark and her husband Paul and Kathleen Hall. Cherished grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 11. Dear sister of Mary Berschied. Predeceased by her parents Mary & Joseph Geenen, sons Pat, Don, John and baby Joseph, son-in-law Wayne Hall, sisters Martha Keenan and Ann Dinsmore and brother Joe Geenen. Agnes was a registered Nurse and worked for many years at St. Joseph's Hospital. She loved to do crossword puzzles, play bridge and enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds. Agnes was a strong pro life advocate. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Steve Savel at Our Lady of Mercy Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Private interment will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. (519-344-3131).
