Obituary of Hilda Hedwig Basham

BASHAM, Hilda (nee Miller) - On Monday, June 26, 2017 at Twin Lakes Terrace, Hilda Hedwig Basham died at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Wayne (Marie), Texas, Brian (Angela), Mississauga and Ian (Gwendolin), Victoria, B.C. Cherished grandmother of Kevin, Frank, Joe, Elizabeth, Shawn, Eryn and Sheryn. Great-grandmother of Sarah. Sister of Hal Miller (Delia), Bill Miller (Susan), Adeline D'Alosio, Margaret Snider (Stuart), and Sylvia Massey. Predeceased by parents Otto & Rosina Miller and brothers Oscar and George Miller. Hilda was an active member of Grace United Church for many years. She had a tremendous gift of love and care for others. She was well known for her cooking, baking, gardening and also for her creativity in arts & crafts. She will be sorely missed by her families and friends. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Grace United Church on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment Lakeview Cemetery.
