Dear Kathleen, Billy, Karen, Tammie and all Irwin families. Losing you Doris and Junie within months of each other is hard to take, being so close as cousins growing up a field apart from each other. It is no doubt more difficult for immediate family to lose someone very dear. I went home to Cornwall visiting my brother in 2013, Doris dropped by to visit me and she looked twenty years younger than myself. What a beauty inside and out! This beautiful person/my cousin gave my parents passes for my brother Harry and myself (Douglas was not yet born) when we were children so we could go skating every Saturday at the Cornwall rink. Yes, working in Grandpa Youngs' garden and hay fields was always an annual event:) What great musical fun times we all enjoyed together with much laughter each Christmas at Uncle Bert and Aunt Gertrude's home. Later, working at Howard Smith Paper myself at the opposite end of where Doris's office was, made frequent lunches together in the lunch room better. chuckle. What a hard worker and initiator of many programs to bring women forward in career and health. Doris I have and will remember you always, so kind, so pleasant, so helpful to me.
To your loving family my prayers go out for inner healing and peace through time.
Remember the good times to help you through this sad time.
My love and God Bless each of you.
Sylvia M. Cassidy (Youngs) cousin, Victoria, BC.

My big sister will be forever loved and missed. It is hard to wrap my head around being the last sibling since June when our sister June died. Marnie, our brother's wife, and I are the last Irwins of our generation. Rest in peace Doris. You will never be forgotten.
