I will always remember my loving Aunt Marysia. She left an indelible mark on my childhood with her kindness and warmth. We visited her and my Uncle Janek at the farm in Camlachie many times. She was the glue that held the family together with love and grace. She will be dearly missed by me and everyone lucky enough to have known and loved her. Godspeed Aunt Marysia.
Maria was such an incredibly strong woman! I was fortunate and able to meet her in Sarnia before she moved to Quebec. There were a couple other occasions in Quebec that we got together as well. It was always so enjoyable to sit and listen to Maria tell her wonderful stories from her past and what she did to survive. I remember the last time visiting her in Quebec, she was in her late eighties and climbed several flights of stairs to join us for dinner on an out door patio. I was in awe of her determination & strength. Such a great lady! Xoxo
Many years ago, my life was influenced by the Warnke family, Maria, Jan senior, Jan junior and Zosia. Even though we have little contact over the years, I have enduring memories. My heartfelt condolences to Jan.
