Obituary of Vaughn Francis McEachen Sr.

McEACHEN, Vaughn Francis Sr – With his family by his side at Bluewater Health, Vaughn McEachen died peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the age of 71.  Beloved husband of Helen Hrynko.  Loving father of Sherrie Schram (Wesley), Genvieve Goerz (Darren), Cara Lacharite (Joel), Vaughn McEachen Jr. (Jackie), Step daughters Lisa Lanouette (Pierre) and Jennifer Miller (Todd).  Cherished grandfather of Celine Stasiuk (Nate), Sean Schram, Adam & Logan Goerz, Zoe, Emma & J.P. Lacharite, Kylea & Kameron Lanouette, Brayden & Logan Miller and great grandfather to Caelum Lacharite.  Dear brother of Brian McEachen (Cecile), Sharon Dupuis (Terry), Shelley Bongers (Morris), Maureen Davies (Dennis), Shayne McEachen (Anne) and Lauren Colborne (Bruce).  Predeceased by his parents John & Alice McEachen, his sister Lynne Melanson and his nephew Steven Melanson.  He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved dearly.  A special thank you to the Dr’s and nurses on Cognitive Care Bluewater Health for their excellent care and compassion during this time.  Vaughn was a millright as he worked for Amoco Canada Petroleum BP Sarnia for many years. He also supply taught at North Lambton Secondary School in Forest, Ont. and after his retirement continued to work for Lang’s Bus Line in Sarnia, Ont.  Vaughn had a love of nature, music, and playing the guitar.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Polish Hall, 173 Exmouth St, Sarnia on Monday April 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm.  Words of remembrance will be offered at 3:00 pm with light refreshments to follow.  Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the admins Hydrocephalus Canada, Suite 111, 16 Four Seasons Place, Toronto, Ont, M9B 6E5 or www.hydrocephalus.ca.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
