Obituary of David Mark Major

MAJOR, David Mark “The Bear” – With his family by his side, Dave Major died at Bluewater Health on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the age of 69.  Beloved husband of Carole (nee Rondeau).  Loving father of Jacqueline Daamen (Jeff), Sarnia, Angelique Major (Marlon), Ann Arbor, Marc Major (Melissa), Sarnia and Richard Major (Cheri), Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of Autumn Daamen, Austin, Madison, Miley Major and Ethan Hardman. Special companion of Michelle Columbus, Sarnia. Dear brother of Michael Major, Sarnia. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by his dear friends Tommy Wright and Bob Crickard and many more.  Predeceased by his parents Gordon & Teresa Major.  Dave was a member of Local 663 and retired from Nova Corunna in 2010. Cremation has taken place. A committal service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. Following the committal, a light lunch and celebration of Dave’s life will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Parish Hall, 895 Champlain Rd. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to Noelle’s Gift, P.O.
