Obituary of Shirley Serratore
SERRATORE (O’Neil), Shirley Gertrude - Surrounded by her loving family at Lambton Meadowview Villa on Thursday, January 17, 2019, Shirley passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Frances “Frank” Serratore (2016) for 66 years. Dear mother of Jany (Larry) Smith, Michael (Silvia) Serratore, Roger (Sue) Serratore, Anita Bunnie, Angela Thomas (Brian Westcott), Shirley (Dick) Kidd, and Mario (Cheryl) Serratore. Loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren & loving great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents John & Phyllis O’Neil. Shirley drove a school bus for many years retiring in 1999. She was a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League. Shirley always had a smile for everyone. She enjoyed crafts and playing cards with family and friends. Shirley’s family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Meadowview Villa for the care and kindness shown to her during her stay there. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow with burial at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery at a later date.
