My condolences in the passing of your lovely Mother. I remember her fondly from my figure skating days in Sarnia. She proudly supported and watched Betty and her friends. A lovely gentle woman. Lidia

i will surely miss her infectious laughter, her inspiring stories from where they started up to what they have become . The wisdom and passion she shared to guide us in life. i will miss her impecable memory, the way she remembers even the smallest things like lucky stone that i gave her to protect her. its not a beauty and its quite cheap but she cherished and she put it on her display cabinet and constantly remind me that i was the one who gave it to her . i will miss her eye that lits up whenever she talks about her passion ... Her face that glows whenever she talks about Ate Betty, Kuya Ted and Kuya bob and also her grandchildren how proud she is and tito alex of their achevements . Although she is not the type who shows much of her true emotion(it runs from our roots down to us) , You could feel the love through her eyes, the satisfaction on her face , her smiles..and the effort she put to make her love ones comfortable. You may hear her complain every so often but in her heart she is happy of what she is doing because she love to move around (maybe sometimes she just needs comforting words or a big hug and ready to be back on track again) . Looking at her ,the way she moves, you would think that she is just in her mid 50s. She can move with great speed than my mom who is more years younger than her.
I will miss the way she uses her ipad and talked about the things she read there . the way she ask us how to teach her how to use the "like" function. we all know she loves receiving letters but she doesnt like the idea of writing back , and we understand (it also runs in our blood ) . if you know her very well , she cherish those letter. She once told me she doesnt like answering letters but she put to heart every letters she received or fb message she received. and i understand because she doesnt want to show her emotion even in letters. she wanted you to feel... to see... that she care, she doesnt need to say it literally. (ask her prodigy, they are the same)
I will miss great hospitality..her cooking... she loves cooking and feeding us even if she is tired. i will miss our "kikay " or girlie moments where we talked about skin care products and regimen. (may pinagmanahan ako). i will miss how she hates even the light from a wristwatch when its sleep time. i will miss how fearful she is of dead, ghost and cemetery(again it runs in our blood and i am one guilty here) . i will miss her life advises to me and definitely miss her tight hugs and kisses and cries whenever we are about to return back to manila without assurance when are we going to see each other again..
Tita leony, i know you love reading letters and know that all that was written here are sincere and came from the bottom of my heart. i dont like writing too but i am trying my best so i could say how grateful i am for having to get to know you more and spent time with you even if its just brief moment but seems like we've been with you during your younger years.
I hope you will not respond, not now.. that's what you told me right ?that you dont like responding but you like reading, right? hope you're enjoying up there together with lolo, lola and our titos and titas
there. please guide us all here especially the mga pasaway. i know you will always be with us in spirit, just dont make "paramdam" to us, we already know you love us dearly.
emojis are not allowed here, though i know you dont know what emojis are i bet someone will teach you there in heaven.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Lola Leony was a wonderful woman. I will always remember being warmly welcomed into your home many years ago when I was on a business trip nearby. It was very touching to be surrounded with love by my Magtanong family who I hadn’t seen since I was 9 years old. My deepest sympathy to you Lolo Alex, cousins Betty, Bobby, and Teddy. Denise
