Obituary of Simone Lachapelle

LACHAPELLE, Simone Florence – Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Simone Lachapelle passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at the age of 87.  Beloved wife of the late René Lachapelle (2006).  Cherished mother of Linda McCormack and her husband Ken and Suzy Fay and her husband Dan.  Much loved mémère of Natalie, Olivia and Mariah.  Dear sister of Helen Lajoie, Roger (Pam) Tourigny and Diane (Fred) Rowbotham.  Sister-in-law of Reina Lachapelle, Guy Lachapelle and Marie Lachapelle. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Gaston & Cecile Tourigny and her brother Leo Tourigny.  Simone was a very social and welcoming woman, always concerned for others.  This made her shine as the “Hostess with the Mostest” at the Canterbury Inn for over 20 years. She carried this through into her personal life, showering her love to all those who knew her. Simone’s passion was her family and time spent with them gave her great joy.  Simone will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  Cremation has taken place.
