Obituary of Francesco D'Angela
D’ANGELA, Francesco – Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Francesco D’Angela died on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Domenica for 64 years. Loving father of John (Brenda), Marina Harrison (Phil) and Rossanna Zeppa (Nello), Sarnia. Cherished nonno of Jeremy, Nina (Travis), Adam, Tristan and Jadon (Natasha). Proud bisnonno of Nolan, Tayte, Tessa, Tia, Dakota, Zane and Jaxon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gelardo & Arcangela, brothers Peter, Nicola, Onorio, Valendo, Guiseppe, Tulio, Benito and sisters Ida, Rosa and Maria. Francesco “Cico” was born in Casalvieri, Italy and worked in Venezuela for 5 years before coming to Canada on June 5, 1961. He was a proud retired member of Local 1089 Labourers Union. Cico enjoyed gardening and playing bocce. His heart was committed to his wife and family whom he loved and watched over through his life time. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him great joy. The family wishes to express their gratitude to wonderful neighbours Bob & Judy and to Dr. Melanie Crozier and her staff for all their support and compassion. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:45 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on Friday May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
