Obituary of Aldina Da Silva

DA SILVA, ALDINA – Peacefully surrounded by her family at Vision Nursing Home, Aldina Da Silva died on July 29, 2019 at the age of 86.  Beloved husband of the late Antonio.  Loving mother of Manuel (Natalia), Saleontino (Maria), Arlindo (Natalie) and Alcinda (Manuel).  Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey (Anna), Stacey (Tyler), Jonathan (Melissa), Melanie (Terry), Reck, Joseph (Nicole), Felicia (Eric), Don, Monica and Lucas (Elena). Proud great-grandmother of 17. Dear sister of Belmira De Melo and Liontina (Bernardino) Da Cunha.  Also survived by her sister-in-law Leonor Chaves and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents Joao and Maria Da Cunha, brothers Manuel Da Cunha, Faustino Chaves and sisters Delmindina Da Silva and Maria Da Silva.  Aldina came to Canada with her husband and 4 children in 1974.  She loved spending time with her family.  Aldina enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.   She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Thursday, August 1 at 10 a.m. Interment to take place at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
