Alan, Linda and all those affected by the loss of Richard:
He was, simply put, a wonderful man, full of generosity, wisdom, courage and fortitude. It is rare for someone to so ably care for two ailing partners and survive those deaths with optimism and determination to live well. I'm one of many who is diminished by his passing.

To Linda and Alan and families.
So sorry to hear of your fathers passing. Your parents were dear neighbours with our adjoining backyards on Newell Street and Hollywood. Hold on to the wonderful memories.
With sincere sympathies

Linda & Family.
We are heartbroken at the passing of your Dad. I will forever recall the time your Dad stayed with Glenn & me. While the reason for the visit was sad, the passing of Tante Helen, for me, it was an opportunity to see the brothers spend time together. During the visit, the brothers would take my little Dog Kaylee for lots of walks in the apple orchard, water our gardens, and fix every little thing they felt was not quite working. Great memories, I can still see these two handsome men walking together in the beautiful orchard. Now they are walking together again.

So glad we were able to spend quality time with n’oncle Richard in the last few years. With time, the phones calls from Richard to family in West Pubnico became more frequent, not less, He was so very special to his Pubnico family.. He was very much loved.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Richard. As you are aware I lost my father (his brother) Doug in February so I can certainly relate to the grief you are suffering. On a happier note, I was very happy when he and Linda were able to visit to Nova Scotia, for mom and dad's 65th wedding anniversary. It was so good to see Richard, and Linda. He looked like a movie star, good looks until the end. We spoke for quite awhile, and he had a great sense of humor about him. This is truly an end of an era. My love, and best wishes are you with at this sad time.
