Obituary of Robert Potvin

POTVIN, Robert – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Leona (Hache). Dear father of Mark, Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Adrien and Miles. Bob worked in the Inspection Lab at Esso Chemical retiring in 1986 after 40 years service. He was a member of the Club Joliette and was involved with the Ontario Arts Council in bringing French Canadian Artists to Sarnia. He had a beautiful singing voice. Bob will be remembered as a singer with the International Symphony, Polysar Glee Club, St. Thomas Aquinas Church choir and singing the national anthem at Sting games and Canada Day celebrations. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Kathemo Mukucha at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
