I met Terry in my Grade 8 year at Devine Street Public School. Terry stayed top of class in that split Grade 7/8. We again met in high school having a few similar interests. Terry’s family came more into view when his sister Elaine married my brother Tom in January 1971. It was a welcome surprise to meet Terry again in the 1990’s as we both taught for the Lambton-Kent Board. Then Terry stayed in the Sarnia area while I moved away. Terry retired not long after me. On this path I suspect I will meet Terry again.

I worked with Terry in the math department at LCCVI for several years. After he retired, I realized how much I missed the laughter and jokes he brought to the math office at lunch and after school. His sense of humour could make work feel less stressful. He was also great at bringing his coworkers together by remembering their birthdays, bringing in gifts to open at Christmas, and encouraging us to have our annual Christmas potluck dinner with Marty bringing in the turkey. I am saddened to hear of his passing.
