My dad worked with Merv many years at Bell Canada & he was one of his best friends. When not working our parents would take us over to the Gadd house sometimes to play with the other kids while they played cards. That is one of my favourite memories from childhood watching Pauline & Merv & Nancy & Gary playing cards & hearing them joke & laugh.Rest in peace Merv you were an amazing friend to my parents & to everyone who was lucky enough to be in your life. You will always be loved & never forgotten.

We enjoyed playing badminton with Merv and enjoyed his company when he couldn't play but came to watch. We enjoyed his jokes and his laugh alone would make you laugh! We know he will be missed...but his laugh will live on. May many warm memories of him bring your family comfort. Take care.
