Mr Jardine was my driving instructor in 1966.He was one of those people who impressed you with his caring yet professional attitude,though at the time I knew he had suffered a great life setback himself.I never knew his first name as he was always Chief Jardine or Mr Jardine to me,a 16 year old kid with no confidence .His patience,kindness and skill at instruction were much needed and remained an inspiration to me over the years.I wish I would have known he was alive and around of late as I would have liked to have told him personally the positive influence he was on my life.The best I can do now is to let his family know the kind of person he truly was even as his life was in a rough spot at the time.Truly a fine man.
