Obituary of Richard John Foreman

FOREMAN, Richard John “Dick” - With heavy hearts, we announce the death of our father, grand-father, great-grandfather, and brother.  Richard “Dick” Foreman died peacefully at Vision Retirement Home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the age of 88.  Dick was the beloved husband of the late Claire (2016).  He leaves behind his children Anne-Marie Rutherford (Larry), Richard (Joanne), Jamie (Karla), Lisa (Grant) and Krista (Michael); his grandchildren, Michael Smith (Josie), Melissa Hooey (Bob), Jonathan Kirby (Christine), Alana Timmers (Gerard), Kristina Bergeron (Mike), Danielle Ireland (Kevin), Katie Swain, and Jack Hammill, and twelve cherished great grand-children.

Dick was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 23 for over 65 years. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion here in Sarnia and enjoyed participating in many events, leagues, and fundraising endeavours.  Dick took great pride in watching his children grow and always welcomed them back home.

Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (reservations not required).  Private family Funeral Service to follow. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory.
