I am so sorry to just hear about this. I was Clem's caregiver for 3 years when he stayed at his house in Florida during the winter months. Clem was one of the most caring, funny, optimistic and inspirational people I have ever met. I will miss him dearly, as I know his family and Nancy will. I know you're dancing your feet off in Heaven, Clem!

Clem and I go back to the early 1980s, sharing flights and limos into Toronto.
He was on the ladder's top rung, and I was bottom rung. But Clem was affable, not overly formal, and always interested in helping everyone in his sphere of influence.
Western's Research Park brought us together again, and I now had the maturity and experience to understand the greatness and seriousness of Clem's desire to make Canada a great nation industrially.
Rubbing shoulders with Clem made me 10-fold the person I would've been without his guidance. And this applies to the many, many that Clem influenced.
He will be missed, but all his associates will carry him forward for many more decades

Dear Nancy, Ann, John and family,
We send our deepest sympathy to all of you. We also will miss Clem very much. In addition to all of his professional accomplishments, Clem was a wonderful friend and generous neighbour. He was a kind, warmhearted man with a brilliant sense of humour.
A few years ago, one of Clem's sisters told some of her friends that Clem's next accomplishment was to become a concert pianist. The friends remarked that they didn't know Clem played the piano. His sister replied, "He doesn't.!" Clem had been reading that the best way to keep your mind sharp was to learn a new language or learn a musical instrument. I was honoured when Clem asked me to be his piano teacher. Two of his favourite pieces were "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "You Are My Sunshine" which he loved to play for his dear partner, Nancy. Clem was also the organizer of our local Tuesday morning golf group which still continues to be such an enjoyable outing.
We will keep all of you in our prayers to be comforted by many beautiful memories of Clem.

My sincere condolences to Clem’s family and his dear Nancy. I will miss him.
Clem always wanted to look his best and counted on me to help him. We shared a similar situation having our partner in the states, and laughed a few times during a visit. I am just so sad I won’t see him again.
I was fortunate to meet his son this year. Clem talked of his family fondly. I must say he had fabulous hair foe an older gentleman. He even laughed when I told him I was giving him a George Clooney hair do. Rest In Peace my friend.
